January Meeting : Collaboration / Competition
On Saturday, January 27th from 2pm – 4pm, Carolina Film Network will bring together the active film groups in South Carolina.
In attendance will be the Myrtle Beach Film Community a newly formed organization, which aims to support, promote, and collaborate with filmmakers in Myrtle Beach, SC and across the Carolinas. Also in attendance will be the Upstate SC Filmmakers Meetup, who are geared to uniting the film community by creating quality content in the Upstate area.
Our goal here at Carolina Film Network is to collaborate over compete and these are the first steps to really building a strong and united group of filmmakers here in the south. We hope that you all will join us.
Admission cost to event will be $5.

Mister Academy (trailer): Mister Academy follows a guy named Jack who loses his band, his job and his wife and enrolls in a school for men, to learn how to get his wife back. Directed by Dean Ferreira. (Columbia Premiere)
What Matters (trailer): Tensions rise as a young man faces complicated issues centered around a racially charged rally. Directed by Andrew Gajadhar of Carolina Film Network.
Carolina Film Network is a non-profit organization that promotes local film in the Carolinas. It also serves as a link between entrepreneurs and industry professionals to stimulate economic growth.
